POREfessional VS Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser - Battle of the Primers

Benefit POREfessional on the left, Maybelline Baby Skin on the right.

Firstly, I'm going to start this post by saying; you've probably seen one of these comparison posts about these two products before. There has been a lot, but don't let that discourage you from reading mine. Because, well, I want the views. No, but seriously, this is
my personal opinion on these two products, hope you enjoy!

Up first we have Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. This is a "lightweight primer" leaving "smooth, poreless looking skin". It claims to "instantly erase pores". Big claim, does it live up? I'd have to say no. I don't believe that this primer erases pores. Minimizes them slightly? Yes, but not erase.
However, this is a good primer. My makeup lasts twice as long as it usually would and this doesn't leave my skin feeling particularly greasy or oily at all. Makeup application is easy and for £7.99 it's a great primer.

Next up, Benefit the POREfessional. "PRO balm to minimize the appearance of pores". This calmest minimize pores and I believe it does, slightly. Unlike Baby Skin, the primer is coloured but is also translucent when applied. This is oil free, which I like as it does not leave your skin shiny or greasy. As with Baby Skin, the longevity of makeup when applied over this primer is great. It lasts for so long!

In conclusion? I think both of these primers are very good at keeping makeup on your face. If I had to pick? Probably POREfessional. It's not so greasy to apply so can easily be done with finger whereas Baby Skin is better with a brush. I would say it does keep your makeup in place for slightly longer than Maybelline's offering, however there is not much in it. I wore both on each half of my face for a day and the right side of my face (POREfessional) was still looking pretty good 7 hours later, but to be honest, there wasn't much difference on the left side either.  Also, I think it smells better. Not that that matters.
The only problem? The price. The full size 22ml of POREfessional costs £24.50 compared to 22ml of Baby Skin which costs just £7.99.
Take your pick.
